Being unable to work for almost a year because of an injury, Scunthorpe Freemason Jason Baker has turned his enforced layoff into an opportunity to write a book which has just gone on sale on Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing.
He writes: “It’s called The Chronicles of Malkuth: Through the Gates to the Temple – An Eternal Journey Home. It’s a spiritual fantasy—told entirely through allegory—drawing on the core lessons of the Freemasons’ Entered Apprentice Degree. I’ve stayed true to my obligations, of course, but I’ve poured in the essence of what the journey means to me. Freemasonry has always meant a lot to me—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It’s been a steady light through everything, and this book was really born out of that. A way to stay connected and to give something back.
“The story follows Malkuth, a humble soul who travels through symbolic realms, facing trials, meeting guides (some true, some false), and learning to let go of ego and walk in service. It’s fiction, but there’s a lot of truth behind it.”
Jason, a member of Industry Lodge, intends to donate a third of the money raised by the book to support Freemasons’ charity work aimed at improving the quality of life in our communities.
