Gainas Lodge outgoing Master Jim Brown writes: “For anyone who’s wondered why I’m often unavailable, (and fairly vague about why), Monday evening marked the end of a very humbling and satisfying time as Worshipful Master of our Masonic Lodge in Gainsborough. It’s been two very enjoyable years, and I’ve felt honoured to have represented the brethren of the lodge at meetings, events and charity presentations during that time.
“Like most things in life, you get out what you put in, and Freemasonry is much the same. We have a great bunch of guys in the two Gainsborough lodges, and I say that with hand on heart, even if some of them pushed me down a hill several times at the Lincoln downhill race and dragged me across the moors for our Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge, all of course, for charitable causes.
“Thank you to everyone who has been part of the team for the last two years and helped make the lodge what it is – you guys have been amazing!
”I’ve now handed over the duties to our very capable Simon Bower who will make a great WM for this coming year! All the very best mate!”
