Assistant Provincial Communications Officer Simon Noden went to Deeping for the St Pega Lodge of Instruction Festival. Here’s what he thought about it…
“Another superb evening at St Pega tonight. From the moment the ritual began, it was clear that an immense amount of hard work had gone into preparation. The standard was excellent throughout — hardly surprising when you remember that St Pega members meet every Tuesday to perfect their work.
“I was there on my official visit and, despite the cold, wet weather outside, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and friendship the moment I stepped through the door. A credit to the Lodge and to the spirit of the Brethren.
And of course, what else would I talk about but… communications. I shared the challenge I’d been set to exchange my details using Portal, and it was great to hear how many Brethren are already using it. Always good to see Lodges embracing tools that help keep us connected.
“It was a wonderful night all round — ritual, fellowship, and a forward‑looking approach to how we communicate as Freemasons.”
