Sunshine, fellowship, and fantastic food came together this afternoon as over 200 Freemasons, families, and friends gathered for the Lincolnshire Masonic Social Committee Provincial Hog Roast, writes Richard Skells.
Held in the stunning, sun-drenched surroundings of Tim Wayman’s Arboretum in Surfleet, the event was blessed with glorious weather, setting the perfect backdrop for a relaxing, fun-filled afternoon.
Attendees enjoyed a brilliant atmosphere with top-tier food and entertainment:
The Feast: A spectacular and plentiful hog roast provided by the talented team at Grange Farm Butchers.
The Refreshments: A steady flow of drinks and refreshments served from Coronation Bars’ iconic ‘Baravan’.
The Soundtrack: The wonderfully atmospheric Rosie Mars provided the perfect musical backdrop, keeping spirits high throughout the day.
The event was seamlessly arranged by Bro. Edward Skells of the LMSC, whose hard work completely paid off. Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who attended, the raffle raised nearly £1,200 to support our causes!
It was the perfect way to spend a Sunday, relaxing in the sunshine with great company, brilliant food, and a fantastic atmosphere” said one attendee.
An event of this scale simply doesn’t happen without a dedicated team behind the scenes. A massive thank you goes out to all of our incredible volunteers who gave up their time to make this afternoon such a resounding success.
Here’s to the next one in 2027!
