Artificial Intelligence – or AI – is having an ever-increasing part in our lives, and it has even appeared in our Freemasonry. In this instance it’s been instigated by Tony Elton of Lodge of Aveland in Bourne, who has asked it to create a poem about his Lodge. It goes like this:
The Lodge of Aveland
(Every Wednesday Night)
Each Wednesday comes, as sure as lore
And Aveland’s Lodge swings wide its door.
The brethren gather, week by week,
With grins on faces, calm yet sleek.
No dusty halls or secret gloom—
Just roaring laughs that fill the room.
With aprons tied and hearts held high,
They chase the gloom and lift the sky.
They plan, they build, they lend a hand,
Each man a stone in something grand.
One draws the line, one sets it true,
And always knows just what to do.
They share a pint, a nod, a jest,
They give their time and give their best.
Though tasks are done with skill and care,
The joy of it is working there.
From ritual’s calm to banter bold,
They turn old truths to something gold.
For in this Lodge, week after week,
It’s strength and kindness that they seek.
So here’s to the brothers, sharp and bright,
Who meet with pride on Wednesday night.
At Aveland’s hearth, they stand as one—
In craft, in cheer, in honest fun.
