Craftsman in wood Andy Allen has turned his hand to making a set of gavels and striking plates for Smyth Lodge, where he’s IPM.
They follow hot on the heels of a superb raffle ‘drum’ he made for the Lodge a while ago, and has been used at every festive board since.
These unique and intricate gavels were used at the last Lodge meeting and proved very popular.
In the picture are Andy Allen left, Master Andy Oliver right, with a small audience of appreciative members.
