Rough Ashlars turn Andy’s Chapter exaltation into a real ‘wow’ moment

When Andy Wells went to the Light Blues Communications event at Freemasons’ Hall a talk about the Royal Arch inspired him to join – and he did, in a special way with his Shire Chapter exaltation ceremony being performed entirely by Routh Ashlar members.

Steve Henman writes: “Andy wanted to join Chapter because of the interest this had sparked, but had his reservations because he is due to go into the Chair of King Solomon next January.

“Having answered all his questions we were able to create a special evening that fitted perfectly with Building Together and One Journey One Organisation, and his personal journey in Freemasonry – and what an evening it was, with the backing of Shire Chapter, Dave Wheeler, and Mike Rix.

“The atmosphere before opening was amazing and WOW what an evening transpired, something that has never happened in Lincolnshire before. Not only was it an Exaltation using the Savage Ritual,  it it was also amazing for it to be carried out by newer companions. the whole ceremony was amazing with 64 Companions present.

“The Savage Ritual is certainly something that all Companions need to see; it is very visual very interactive and does explain a lot of the ceremony in a very interesting way. Every Companion involved showed what working as a team can do,”

Mike Coleman, Chairman of the Rough Ashlars, added his personal thanks to the Chapter for allowing this to happen, and all the members of Rough Ashlars for all their hard work and dedication for this meeting and their dedication to Rough Ashlars.

The evening didn’t end there the atmosphere at the festive board was equally as good with good company good humor lots of banter and lots of Companionship, showing truly what Freemasonry is about a night that will go down in the annuls of history as a very special one.

Steve added: “The work Mike Lock put in as Chapter DC was amazing, and the and the meeting truly proves how much it is trying to support Building Together, the Light Blues, and Craft in general.
