Rob Elliott writes: “Freemasonry is built on friendship, tradition, and the lifelong journey of learning — and an initiation at Ancholme Lodge in Brigg was a perfect example of all three!
“The Lodge welcomed initiate Damian Batley, and a twist was that I was one of Damian’s students 16 years ago, and Neil Grimbleby had been his colleague.
“Neil and I were amongst four members of the Lincolnshire Rough Ashlars there to witness this important occasion!
“It just goes to show that life has a wonderful way of bringing people back together, sometimes in the most unexpected places. From the classroom to the Craft, the roles may change, but the respect, friendships, and bonds we build along the way can last a lifetime.
“It was a fantastic evening, great company, and another reminder that Freemasonry really is about people, connections, and making good men better.”
