A idea originating in Lincolnshire has been developed into a new video produced by UGLE.
It’s our Province’s guide to completing ceremonies with multiple candidates , which was shared with UGLE at a Provincial Communications Forum last February. Since then it has been developed into a programme featuring some of UGLE’s most senior figures, and clips in which some of the choreography is shown were shared with those at the meeting.
It’s hoped that the video, due to be completed in January, will encourage Lodges to take a ‘yes if’ approach to multiple candidate ceremonies rather than a ‘no because’ one.
Meanwhile, Freemasons from Lincolnshire made sure the Province was the best-represented at December’s Quarterly Communications meeting at Freemasons Hall.
Almost 90 attended the meeting and heard Pro Grand Master Jonathan Spence tell the meet that round-Britain Walker Chris Jones was there having taken a break from his 7,000-mile fundraising challenge.

The December meeting is the only one at which Master Masons are admitted, making it a popular seasonal event. They were able to see Chris Jones’s progress as he’d brought not only his tent but also a new graphic showing he’s third of the way to his £100,000 fundraising target. He’s seen with the rest of the Lincolnshire visitors in our picture, which had been seen more than 62,000 times on our Facebook page less than 72 hours after having been taken, making it our most popular post ever.
The meeting also presented the first opportunity for next year’s Provincial Grand Wardens Keith Bickley and Stuart Butler to be photographed with PGM Dave Wheeler.
Also new to the Provincial team from next May will be Andy Ham, who’ll be Provincial Grand D.C., taking over from Noel Fisher after seven years, and Paul Ellis who’ll take over as Provincial Grand Charity Steward from Pete Tong.
